UNRAVEL & REST
An extended Embodied Yin & Myofascial Release practice.
A monthly ritual of returning, giving ourselves the gift of deep rest and fascia self-massage.
Life keeps us in constant doing, bracing and holding.
This workshop is your space to rest, create space, unravel and return to your innate wisdom.
THE PRACTICE
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a slow, therapeutic self-massage working with fascia , the web-like connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, organs and nerves. Using small therapy balls and soft Yamuna balls, you’ll be guided to compassionately and somatically massage your own body.
When fascia becomes tight, dehydrated or stuck (through stress, injury, repetitive movement or emotional holding), it can create restriction, pain, reduced mobility, and that tight holding of the nervous system that keeps you in a heightened state. This workshop is designed to support you to unravel what you have been carrying.
Embodied Yin is a somatic evolution of traditional Yin.
We both hold, breathe and or wiggle into postures and with space and props, muscles soften, deeper tissues are nourished and the nervous system shifts into rest, digest and repair.
Together, these two deeply complementary practices soften tension throughout the body, soothe the nervous system and creates the fertile soil of deep rest.
